Belkin Netcam Night Vision not working
BELKIN’s NetCam Wi-Fi camera lineup is best suited for home
surveillance. It is equipped with Night vision, courtesy their 8 IR LEDs lined
in a circle around the primary camera which is 2MP CMOS sensor.
The netcam
cameras are Wi-Fi enabled and can be accessed from anywhere through a
smartphone using the free BELKIN NetCam app available on both iOS and Android
or through a web browser on a computer which needs netcam setup. The netcam configuration can be accessed through the
app itself.
Netcam cameras can have various troubles, as based on their reviews,
though they are not significant problems, they can be easily removed.
Check following points to troubleshoot those:
1● Firmware problem
Outdated netcam firmware can sometimes create correction problems. To keep it
updated, visit the app or Belkin's web interface.
2● Power Problem
After a power outage, you may not receive live feed due to loss of
wireless signal. This is due to the router. Power up your router, it may take
5-10 minutes. If the camera is still not working, try reconfiguring your
router.
If the camera is connected to both DC power and Wi-Fi router, and still
not working, check its battery. It may be faulty, and changing it can solve
your problem.
3● Live Feed problem
First, connect power and wireless network to your NetCam camera
properly. Then using a pin, hold the reset button on the camera for 20 seconds
to reset it. Visit your mobile app or web browser on a computer and reconfigure
the NetCam.
4● Problem related to Motion Detection emails
NetCam allows you to send email to a specific email address whenever
motion is detected. If you are not getting this, visit www.netcam.belkin.com
and log in there. Click on a”My netcam HD” and go to Motion Detection tab and
turn the “Save Clips to iSecurity+” 'ON.' Turn all options on. This will enable
email notification. You can adjust sensitivity too. On the mobile app, tap on
“Camera clips screen” and click on email notifications.
5● IR problem
For this, you may need to manually turn IR off as it turns on in normal
light too.
So, in general, what appears in URL between https// and / is a Domain
name, and what your computer interprets the URL in its machine language is IP
address. ICANN is the organization, which manages and develops Internet Domain
Names and checks IP addresses as well. We hope this article removes confusion
and brings clarity to this topic.
