The TP-Link 5ghz xbox is not the fastest Wi-Fi extender at the close range but competes with the best long range repeater with the half the price.  The looks of the extender are also good.  The white and the grey exterior along with the rounded shape and the aerials give a good appearance.  It is a small device, so likely to block less space as compared to the other devices.

if you like the manual approach, then there is also a button on the side of the extender along with the on-off button or the reset button.  The single Ethernet port is on the top of the device, the location is perhaps not the most convenient location, but it depends on the situation of your home or the office where you placed the device.  It can also be used to connect the extended network to the wired devices but it does not convert the extender into an access point.  

The performance of the tp link repeater 5ghz xbox is impressive as it delivered the average of 83.6 Mbps, which is the one of the fastest in the market.  However, when compared with the long range, the speed is about 44 Mbps which is good but not good enough to beat the best.
